Soles #1 for slippers made of Dawn Knitting Worsted, Article W11. Sizes 5-7-9.
Directions are given for size 5, other sizes are given in bracket.
Ch 18, (20-22), work 2 s c in 2nd st from hook, 2 s c in next st, 1 s c in each of the next 13 sts, (15-17) 2 s c in next st, 3 s c in next st, working on other side of ch, 2 s c in next st, 1 s c in each of the next 13 sts, (15-17) 2 s c in next st, 1 s c in same space with 1st 2 s c, join.
2nd Round—Ch 1, 1 s c in same space, 2 s c in each of the next 2 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 15 s c, (17-19) 2 s c in each of the next 5 s c, 1 s c in each of the next 15 s c, (17-19) 2 s c in each remaining s c, join.
3rd Round—Toe: Ch 2, 1 d c in same space, 2 d c in each of the next 2 sts, 1 d c in each of the next 8 sts, (9-10) instep, 1 s c in each of the next 11 sts, (12-13) 2 s c in each of the next 6 sts, (7-8) 1 s c in each of the next 11 sts, (12-13) 1 d c in each of the next 8 sts, (9-10) 2 d c in each remaining sts of toe, join. Work 1 row of s c all around, break yarn and work another sole in same manner. Crochet the 2 soles together with a row of s c inserting an inner sole if desired.
