REQUIREMENTS:
YARN: 1-ball 3-ply Angora (approx. 55 yds)
NEEDLES: 1-pr. No. 2 Single Pointed
CROCHET HOOK: 1 bone No. 3
8-inch Character Doll

   CAPE: Using the angora and No. 2 needles, cast on 18 sts, purl 1 row. 2nd row: * K 2, yarn over, repeat from * across row, ending with k 2. Purl across next row, purling the yarn over also. K 1 row, p 1 row. Next row: * k 1, increase 1 st in next st, repeat from * across row ending with k 2. Work 5 rows even. Next row: * K 2, increase 1 st in next st; repeat from * across row, ending with k 2. Work 5 rows even. Bind off all sts loosely. Using the bone hook, make 1 row of s c around cape.

   BONNET: Cast on 30 sts and work in stockinette stitch for 17 rows. Bind off 10 sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Work in stockinette stitch on the remaining 10 sts for an inch. Bind off. Sew bound off 10-sts to sides of the one inch piece. Make 1 row of s c across edge of bonnet.
