Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY
"DAWN" DE LUXE FINGERING YARN or "DAWN" NYLON
6 ounces Canary or Amber or color of your choice
1 pr. Knitting Needles No. 2 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW.

GAUGE: 8 sts = 1 inch

Cast on 85 sts and K 2 rows. PATTERN: 1st ROW: K 5, * P 3, K 3, repeat from * across row ending with K 5. 2nd ROW: K 2, P 3, * K 3, P 3, repeat from * across row ending with K 2. 3rd and 4th ROWS: Repeat 1st and 2nd rows. 5th ROW: K 2, P 3, * K 3, P 3, repeat from * across row ending with K 2. 6th ROW: K 5, * P 3, K 3, repeat from * across row ending with K 5. NEXT 8 ROWS: Repeat 1st and 2nd rows. 15th ROW: K 2, P 3, * K 3, P 3, repeat from * across row ending with K 2. 16th ROW: K 5, * P 3, K 3, repeat from * across row ending with K 5 (the 1st and last 2 sts are worked in garter st [K each row] up entire scarf). Repeat these 16 rows for pattern until scarf measures 46 inches or length desired ending with 4th pattern row, then K 2 rows, bind off.
FRINGE: Wind yarn over a 4 inch card­board, cut one end. Take 2 strands, double in half and knot through 1st  2 sts, * skip 1 st, take 2 strands and knot through next 2 sts, repeat from * across lower edge. Trim fringe evenly. Work fringe on oppo­site end.
