When a heavy lace is desired we suggest – AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" PEARL COTTON Sizes 3 or 5

For a finer lace use – "STAR" or "GEM" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON Sizes 10 to 30

Cast on 7 sts.
1st and every alternate row. K across row.
2nd Row. Sl 1, K 2, over, K 2 together, over, K 2.
4th Row. Sl 1, K 3, over, K 2 together, over, K 2.
6th Row. Sl 1, K 4, over, K 2 together, over, K 2.
8th Row. Sl 1, K 1, K 2 together, over twice, (in the next row K 1 over st and P 1 over st) K 2 together, over, K 2 together, over, K 2. 10th Row. Sl 1, K 10.
11th Row. Bind off 4 sts, K 6. Repeat from the 2nd row for length desired.
