When a heavy lace is desired we suggest – AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" PEARL COTTON Sizes 3 or 5
For a finer lace use – "STAR" or "GEM" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON Sizes 10 to 30
Cast on 19 sts and K across row.
2nd Row. K 3, thread over, K 2 together, K 2, over, K 1, over, K 2 together, K 1, K 2 together, over, K 2, over twice (over twice to be worked off as 2 sts in the following row), K 2 together, over twice, K 2 together.
3rd Row. K 2, P 1, K 2, P 1, K 2 together, K 1, over, slip 1, K 2 together, pass slip st over, thread over, K 3, over, K 2 together twice, over, K 2 together, K 1.
4th Row. K 3, over, K 2 together, over, K 2 together, K 1, K 2 together, over, K 1, over, K 1, K 2 together, K 6.
5th Row. Bind off 2 sts, K 5, over, K 3, over, slip 1, K 2 together, pass slip st over, thread over, K 3, over, K 2 together, K 1.
Repeat from the 2nd row for length desired.
