CHADWICK'S RED HEART SPORTS YARN, 4 balls (1 oz. balls) of dark color and 2 balls of light color for Socks (all sizes); 2 balls of dark color and 1 ball of light color for Gloves (all sizes).
For the set, 6 balls of dark and 2 balls of light are required.

Forefinger … Divide these sts on 3 needles. Attach dark color and work in stockinette stitch around. Cast on 4 sts between forefinger and middle finger, and work straight until finger, when tried on, reaches ½" from finger-tip. Then * k 1, k 2 tog. Repeat from * around. Work 1 rnd straight. Next rnd: K 2 tog. around. Break yarn, leaving a 6" end. Thread this end into a needle and run through remaining sts. Draw, tight, and darn in end on wrong side to reinforce tip. |
