Needles
No. 0 and No. 2. No. 2 double pointed needles for Hat.
Materials
1 Oz. Fingering Yarn, 20 Yards of Angora, 2 small Pearl Buttons.
Gauge
8 sts to 1 inch. (Measure garment on doll as you make it).
DRESS
With Angora and No. 2 needles, cast on 160 sts, loosely, K 2 rows. With yarn, K 1 row, P 1 row, for 1 inch. On next K row, dec as follows: * K 1, K 2 tog, repeat from * across row, ending K 1 (107 sts). Work 1 inch even, * K 1, K 2 tog, repeat from * across row, ending K 2 (72 sts). Work 3 rows even. K 2 tog across row, 36 sts. With No. 0 needles, K 5 rows. With No. 2 needles, K 1 row, P 1 row. K 8, inc in next 2 sts, K 15, inc 2 sts, K remaining sts. Work 3 rows even. Inc 4 more sts having increases come directly above previous increases. K 9, bind off 3 sts, K 20, bind off next 3 sts, K to end of row.
Back—Dec 1 st at beg of every row at back edge (at 3 bound off sts), until you have 6 sts. Work even until armhole measures 1¼ inches. Bind off 3 sts at beg of the next 2 rows at armhole edge.
Front—Work over 10 sts, at front edge dec 1 st at beg of every row, 3 times. Now continue to dec at neck edge and inc at armhole edge, 5 times. Bind off 3 sts at beg of armhole edge 2 times and at neck edge once more. Work other front to correspond. Continue back to correspond to first back.
Finishing—Sew shoulder seams. Sew vent tog for 1½ inches from bottom. With yarn, starting at waist line on back, work 1 row of S C completely around backs and neck, making ch 3 loops for buttonholes, 2 times. Work 1 row around sleeves. With Angora, work 1 row around neck only and sleeves.
CAP
With Angora and set of No. 2 needles, cast on 54 sts, 18 sts on each needle. With 4th needle, join and K 1 round. P 1 row with angora. Break thread. With yarn, K 1 round increasing 6 sts. On next round K 2 tog, 2 times. K 26, K 2 tog, 2 times. K to end of round. K 1 row even. Dec in same manner every other round, having decreases come directly over those of previous row, until 26 sts remain. Weave tog or bind off, and sew.
PANTIES
With No. 2 needles, cast on 24 sts loosely, K 1 st, P 1 st, for 4 rows. Now K 1 row, increasing 6 sts. P 1 row, K 1 row for 1½ inches. Bind off 3 sts at beg of the next 6 rows. On center 12 sts, K 1 row, P 1 row for 6 rows. Cast on 3 sts at beg of the next 6 rows (30 sts.). K 1 row, P 1 row for 1½ inches. Dec 6 sts, K 1, P 1 for 4 rows, bind off. Sew side seams. S c around pantie legs.
