Work until pattern has been repeated 6 times or until bag is desired depth. Then, to make bag straight across the top, work across the 1st needle, then bind off 1st st on 2nd needle and work across it, following pattern. Bind off last st on 3rd needle, then turn and bind off the 1st st. Work back across the 3rd and 2nd needles, decreasing 1 st at each end until all the sts are bound off. In working back, the k sts of the pattern will be p and the p sts will be k. Repeat across the 1st and 4th needles the same way.
Handles: With the crochet hook, ch 92. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and sl st in each st of ch. Ch 1, turn. Sl st in each sl st of previous row. Break off. Make another handle and attach to the fastener, 1¼ inches on each side of the center. Sew in fastener to bag, and line with a suitable material.
