Man's Scarf Pattern #3115

Materials Required—
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" PEARL COTTON, SIZE 5
14 60-yd. Balls Ecru or any Color desired.
1 Pair Knitting Needles No. 1 and Steel Crochet Hook No. 8 or 9.

Cast on 100 sts, K across row.
2nd Row—K 8, * P 15, K 8, repeat from * across row.
3rd Row—K across row.
Repeat the last 2 rows until scarf measures 48 inches, bind off. Press under a damp cloth.
Work a row of s c across each end working 7 s c in each knitted rib and 12 s c in each stockinette rib.
FRINGE. 1 s c in first s c, * draw up a loop on hook about 3½ inches, keep loop on hook, 1 s c in next s c, draw up another loop on hook about 3½ inches, keep loop on hook, 1 s c in same s c, repeat from * to end of row always keeping 2 or 3 loops on hook to gauge length of next loop. Trim evenly.
Work other side to correspond.
