Coverall Panties Pattern

MATERIALS REQUIRED
American Thread Company "Dawn" Shetland Floss.
2 Balls—White or Colors
1 Pr. Bone Knitting Needles #3

Length of garment through the center—9½ inches

Gauge
8 sts = 1 inch; 9 rows = 1 inch

Cast on 58 sts and work in ribbing of K 2, P 2 for 4 rows.
5th Row. K 2 * Yarn over, K 2 together, K 2, P 2, yarn over, K 2 together, P 2, K 2 repeat from * to end of row ending with K 2. Work 5 rows of ribbing. Remainder of the garment is worked in stockinette st. (K 1 row, P 1 row). Next 4 rows work even.
Next row increase 1 st each side then increase 1 st each side every 6th row, until there are 72 sts on needle. Work 1 row even then decrease 1 st each side until there are 22 sts on needle.
Work 10 rows even then increase 1 st each side until there are 72 sts on needle. Work 4 rows even. Next row decrease 1 st each side then decrease 1 st each side every 6th row until there are 58 sts on needle and work 4 rows even.
Next 5 Rows work in ribbing of K 2, P 2.
Next Row. P 2, * yarn over, K 2 together, P 2, K 2, repeat from * to end of row. Work 3 rows of ribbing and bind off. With right side of work toward you, pick up 56 sts around leg and work in ribbing of K 2, P 2, for 4 rows, bind off loosely and work other leg to correspond.
Sew seams. Crochet a cord 35 inches long to lace twice around top and finish cords with tiny pompoms.
