8 balls Fingering Yarn 3 ply (1 oz. ball)

1 pair knitting needles No. 5

GAUGE: 6 sts. = 1 inch

PATTERN:

1st row: P across row

2nd row: * K 3, y.o., K 3 tog., y.o., repeat from * across row end K 3

3rd row: P across row

4th row: * y.o., K 3 tog., y.o., K 3 repeat from * across row end y.o., K 3 tog., y.o.

Repeat these 4 rows for pattern.

With No. 5 needles cast on 109 sts. and work in seed st. for 1 inch. Keep the first and last 5 sts. on needle for the entire stole in seed st. for border and work the rem. 99 sts. in lace pattern for 62 inch. Work seed st. for 1 inch on 109 sts. Bind off loosely and block to size.

FRINGE:

Wind yarn over an 8 inch cardboard, cut at one end. Knot 6 strands in every 4th st. on both short ends of stole. Trim fringe evenly. Block to size.
