4 skeins Fingering Yarn 3 ply (1 oz. skein)
1 pair knitting needles each No. 2 and No. 4
1 silvalume crochet hook No. 2
GAUGE: 6 sts. = 1 inch
PATTERN:
1st row: (right side) * K 3, K 2 tog., yarn over, K 1, yarn over, slip 1, K 1 and pull the slipped st. over the K st. repeat from * across row
2nd row: P across
3rd row: K 2, * K 2 tog., y.o., K 3, y.o., slip 1, K 1 and pull the slipped st. over the K st., K 1, repeat from * across row, end y.o., K 4
4th row: P across
5th row: K 4, * y.o., slip 1, K 2 tog., pull the slipped st. over the K st., y.o., K 5, repeat from * across row, end y.o., K 1
6th row: P across
7th row: K across
8th row: P across
Repeat these 8 rows for pattern.
With No. 2 needles cast on 80 sts. and work in ribbing K 1, P 1 for 2 inch., incr. 32 sts. at even intervals across last row of ribbing (112 sts.) Change to No. 4 needles and pattern and work even until piece measures 29 inch. above ribbing. Change to No. 2 needles, ribbing and decr. at even intervals across first row to 80 sts. Work in ribbing K 1, P 1 for 2 inch. Bind off loosely K as K and P as P.
FINISHING:
Sew up each side for 5 ½ inch. to form sleeves. Crochet 1 row s.c. around shruggee. Steam lightly.
