Materials: J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 4 balls of color 9 Yellow and 1 ball of color 206 Sport Green. 1 pair Milward's knitting needles, No. 3 (3 millimeter).
The simplest of stitches for practice knitting is the garter stitch. A very useful article can be made so that these practice minutes can be used to good advantage.
Materials: J. & P. Coats Crochet Cord, 1 ball of color 123 Salmon Pink and 1 ball of White. Bone knitting needles size 1.
Cast on the desired number of stitches and * knit one row, purl one row. Repeat from *.
Every row is knitted and two rows form a ridge.
When plain knitting is repeated back and forth any number of times, the work is alike on both sides and known as the Garter Stitch.
