YARN: 1-ounce of 3-ply Baby or Nylon Yarn
NEEDLES: 1-pr. No. 2 single pointed
CROCHET HOOK: 1 steel No. 3
8-inch Character Doll

   SKIRT: Cast on 96 sts. Row 1: K 1, * p 10, k 2, repeat from * across ending with k 1. Row 2: P 1, * k 10, p 2, repeat from * across ending with p 1. Row 3: Repeat row 1. Row 4: P 1, * slip 1, k 1, psso, k 8, p 2, repeat from * across row, ending p 1. Row 5: K 1, * p 2 tog, p 7, repeat from * across row, ending k 1. Row 6: P 1, * slip 1, k 1, psso, k 6, repeat from * across row, ending p 1. Row 7: K 1, * p 2 tog, p 5, repeat from * across ending k 1. Row 8: P 1, * slip 1, k 1, psso, k 4, repeat from * across, ending p 1. Row 9: K 1, * p 2 tog, p 3, repeat from * across, ending k 1. Row 10: P 1, * slip 1, k 1, psso, k 2, repeat from * across, ending p 1. Row 11: K 1, * p 2 tog, p 1, repeat from * across, ending k 1. Row 12: P 1, * k 2, p 2, repeat from * across, ending p 1. Repeat this last row 3 times more. Bind off loosely. Sew up back of skirt. Using the #3 steel hook, make 1 row of s c around bottom of skirl, join round. * Ch 2, 1 s c in next st; repeat from * around. Join round. Fasten off yarn.

   BRA: Cast on 28 sts. Purl 1 row, knit 1 row for 7 rows. Bind off. Sew up back. Finish top of bra with 2 rows of crocheting as on bottom of skirt. Halter tie: Make a chain of 10 inches. Tie this thru center of bra and use to tie around doll's neck.

   PANTIES: Cast on 28 sts. K 2, p 2, for 3 rows. Then knit 1 row, purl 1 row until the piece measures 1½ inches in all. Bind off loosely. Sew up back. Put seam in center back and overcast center sts for crotch of panties.

   CAPE: Cast on 18 sts, purl 1 row. 2nd row: * K 2, yarn over, repeat from * across row, ending with k 2. Purl across next row, including the yarn overs. K 1 row, p 1 row. Next row: * K 1, increase 1 st in next st, repeat from * across row ending with k 2. Work 5 rows even. Next row: * k 2, increase 1 st in next st, repeat from * across row, ending with k 2. Work 5 rows even. Bind off all sts. Finish edge of cape as bottom of skirt.
