NEEDLES: 1-pr. #6 single pointed
CARRIAGE ROBE: Using the #6 needles, cast on 162 sts and knit 20 rows. PATTERN: Row 1: K 9 sts, border; k 2 sts together 4 times; * yarn over, k 1, 8 times; k 2 sts together, 8 times; repeat from * across row, ending with k 2 sts together 4 times; k 9 sts, border. Row 2: K 9 sts; purl across row to within the last 9 sts; k 9. Row 3: Knit across row. Row 4: K 9 sts, purl across to within the last 9 sts, k 9. Repeat these 4 rows for the pattern. Work until the piece measures 28 inches in all, ending with row 3 of pattern. Knit 19 rows. Bind off all sts.
