Materials: Chadwick's Red Heart Crepe-de-Mode. 2 skeins (1 oz. skeins).
Milward's Phantom Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 (2½ mm. size).
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 1.
A clasp fastener.

Base. Starting at center of base, ch 5, join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: 8 s c in ring. Join with sl st. 2nd rnd: 2 s c in each s c around. Join. 3rd rnd: * S c in 1st s c, 2 s c in next s c. Repeat from * around. Join. 4th rnd: S c in each s c around. Hereafter repeat the 4th rnd, increasing when necessary to keep work flat, until piece measures 5 inches in diameter.

Sides. Starting at lower edge, with knitting needles cast on 116 sts and work in pattern as for Jacket No. 1127, without increasing until piece measures 5 inches. Bind off. Sew both ends together. Then sew piece to edges of base. Line purse with lining material. Fold purse as in illustration, and sew clasp fastener to point at top.
