MATERIALS: Chadwick's Red Heart Sports Yarn, 9 balls (1 oz. balls) of White and 1 ball each of Red and Blue for sizes 36 and 38; 10 balls of White and 1 ball each of Red and Blue for sizes 40 and 42.
Milward's Phantom Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 1 (2½ mm. size) and 1 pair No. 3 (3 mm. size).

CABLE PATTERN … (A multiple of 15 sts, plus 1) 1st row: (Wrong side) P 2, * k 3, p 6, k 3, p 3. Repeat from * across, ending with p 2 instead of p 3. 2nd row: K 2, * p 3, k 6, p 3, k 3. Repeat from * across, ending with k 2 instead of k 3. 3rd and 4th rows: Repeat 1st and 2nd rows. 5th row: Repeat 1st row. 6th row: K 2, * p 3, slip the next 3 sts onto a double-pointed needle and hold at back of work; k the next 3 sts, then k the 3 sts from double-pointed needle; p 3, k 3. Repeat from * across, ending with k 2. Repeat these 6 rows for pattern.
