Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED or "DAWN" NYLON of Knitting Worsted Size
36 ozs. Kelly Green.
13 ozs. Dk. Green.
5 ozs. White.
6 ozs. Sea Green.

1 pr. knitting needles No. 7

Plastic crochet hook No. 5 or G.

With Kelly Green cast on 41 sts and work in pattern as follows:

Row 1. K 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, * p 2, k 2, p 2, k 2, p 2, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, repeat from * across row.

Row 2. P 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, * k 2, p 2, k 2, p 2, k 2, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, repeat from * across row.

Row 3. P 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 3, k 2, p 2, k 2, p 3, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 3, k 2, p 2, k 2, p 3, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1.

Row 4. K 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 3, p 2, k 2, p 2, k 3, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 3, p 2, k 2, p 2, k 3, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1.

Row 5. Same as Row 1.

Row 6. Same as Row 2.

Row 10. Same as Row 2.

Rows 11, 14, 15, 18, 19. P 7, * k 2, p 2, k 2, p 2, k 2, p 7, repeat from * across row.

Rows 12, 13, 16, 17 and 20. K 7, * p 2, k 2, p 2, k 2, p 2, k 7, repeat from * across row. Repeat last 20 rows until strip measures 60 inches from beginning. Bind off.

BORDER: Attach White in comer of long side of strip, ch 3, 2 d c in same space, * skip ¾" space, s c in side of strip, ch 2, 2 d c in same space, repeat from * across side, cut yarn, turn.

Row 2. Attach Sea Green in next ch 2 loop, s c in same space, ch 2, 2 d c in same space, * s c in ch 2 loop of next shell, ch 2, 2 d c in same space, repeat from * across row, turn, cut yarn.

Row 3. Attach Dk. Green and work same as Row 2, ch 1, turn.

Row 4. * 1 s c in each ch 2 loop and 1 s c in each d c of shell, repeat from * across row. Cut yarn. Finish opposite side of strip in same manner. Work 4 more strips in same manner and sew them together. Working across short side, attach Dk. Green in first st, ch 4, skip 1 st, d c in next st, * ch 1, skip 1 st, d c in next st, repeat from * across row, cut yarn. Finish opposite side in same manner.

FRINGE: Using Dk. Green, cut strands 12" long. Using 3 strands, double in half and loop through each ch 1 mesh on each short side.
