Jack Frost Sport Yarn
Natural—3 2-oz. Balls; Green—1 2oz. Ball

BACK: With No. 2 Needles cast on 99 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 3 in. Change to No. 4 Needles and P 1 row increas­ing to 116 sts. Work in stockinette st until piece measures 10 in. from lower edge. Bind off 8 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 9 times. Work even until piece measures 8 in. from underarm. Bind off 7 sts at beginning of each of next 6 rows for shoulders. Change to No. 2 Needles and work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: Work as given for back, following the chart, being sure to twist yarns when changing colors, until piece measures 10 in. from lower edge. Continuing pattern, bind off 8 sts at beginning of next row, work over the next 50 sts; place on st-holder. Work across remaining 58 sts. Bind off 8 sts at beginning of next row, P across remaining sts. Decrease 1 st at neck edge on the next row and every 4th row thereafter until 17 decreases have been made at neck "edge, at the same time decrease at underarm edge as given for back. When piece measures 8 in. from underarm, starting at shoulder edge, bind off 7 sts every other row 3 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 2 Needles on right side of gar­ment, pick up 67 sts from shoulder to point of V, 1 st at point of V, 67 sts from point of V to right shoulder. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows decreasing 1 st at each side of the st at point of V on every row. Bind off. Sew shoulder seams.

ARMHOLE BANDS: With No. 2 Needles on right side of gar­ment, pick up 139 sts from end to end of armhole. Work in rib­bing of K 1, P 1, for 4 rows. Bind off. Sew underarm seams.
