KNITTING NEEDLES: 1 pair "Boye" Non-Inflammable Needles, Size 15 -OR SIZE YOU REQUIRE TO KNIT TO GAUGE GIVEN BELOW.
1 pair "Boye" Non-Inflammable Needles, Size 11.
GAUGE: Size 15 Needles - 5 sts = 2 inches; 7 rows = 2 inches

BACK - With size 11 needles and color A, cast on 47 (51-55) sts. Work k 1, p 1 ribbing for 3 ½ ins.

With size 15 needles, work stockinette st-p 1 row, k 1 row-until 8¾ (9¾-10¼) ins. above ribbing, end with k row. Begin Chevron point at center.

Row 1 - P 23 (25-27) sts, join B and p 1; join 2nd ball of A and p 23 (25-27) sts.

Row 2 - With A, k 22 (24-26), pass B under A on wrong side and k 3 B, pass A under B on wrong side and k to end with A.

Note: Always pass next color to be used under last color used on wrong side when changing colors.

Row 3 - P 21 (23-25) A, 5 B, with A, P to end.

Continue to work 2 sts more with B at center and 1 st less with A at each side every row. Work until 11¼ (11¾-12¼) ins. above ribbing, end with p row.

Armholes - K 4 sts and place on holder for underarm, work to within 4 sts of end of row, place last 4 sts on holder for underarm; 39 (43-47) sts. Mark for underarm.

Continue point until there are 14 rows in B stripe, end with k row. Begin yoke at center.

Row 1 - P 19 (21-23) sts, join C and p 1, join 2nd ball of B and p 14, with A, p to end.

Row 2 - K 18 (20-22), k 3 C, 14 B, with A, k to end.

Continue to work Chevron Stripe and yoke in this way until there is only 1 st of A at each side. Break off both balls of A.

Continue Chevron Stripe and yoke with B and C until there is only 1 st of B at each side. Break off both balls of B. With C, work even until armholes measure 8 ¼ (9 ½-10) ins. above marker, end with p row.

Next row - K 12 (13-15) sts and place on holder for shoulder, k 15 (17-17) for neck, place remaining 12 (13-15) sts on holder for shoulder.

Back Neck Ribbing - With size 11 needles, work k 1, p 1 ribbing for 5 rows. Bind off loosely in ribbing.

FRONT - With size 11 needles and A, cast on 47 (51-55) sts. Work same as back until armholes measure 6 (6¾-7¼) ins. above marker, end with p row.

Divide for Neck - K 12 (13-15), place on holder for left side; k 15 (17-17), place on holder for neck, k to end. Work even until armhole is 1 row less in length then left side of back, end with k row. Break yarn, leaving a 27-in. end for weaving.

Take up 12 (13 -15) sts of left side, beg. at neck edge, work until same number of rows as on right side of front, end with k row. Break yarn, leaving a 27-in. end. Weave shoulder sts tog.

FRONT NECK RIBBING - With size 11 needles and C, beg. on left side of neck at shoulder, pick up and k 6 (8-8) sts on left side of neck edge, take up and k 15 (17-17) sts from holder, pick up and k 6 (8-8) sts on right side of neck edge; 27 (33-33) sts. Work p 1, k 1 ribbing for 5 rows. Bind off loosely in ribbing.

SLEEVES-With size 15 needles and A, from right side, take up and k 4 underarm sts at left side of front, pick up and k 30 (34-36) sts on armhole edge-about 1 st in every 2nd row-take up and k 4 underarm sts of back; 38 (42-44) sts. Working stockinette st, dec. 1 st each side every 8th row 2 (4-3) times; every 6th row 6 (4-6) times, decreasing by working 2 tog. at beg. and slip, k and pass at end of k rows; 22 (26-26) sts. Work even until 15¾ (18-19½) ins. from beg., end with p row. Dec. 1 st each side of next row; 20 (24-24) sts. With size 11 needles, work ribbing for 3 ins. Bind off. Work right sleeve in same way.

FINISHING - Sew underarm and sleeve seams. Sew seams on ribbing of collar and cuffs being careful to keep a flat seam. Block.
