Chadwick's Red Heart Sock and Sweater Yarn, 3 Ply, Art. E.255, Shrink and Stretch Resist, 2 skeins (1 oz. pull-out skeins) of Black, 1 skein each of Oxford, Yellow, and White.
Milwards “Phantom” Aluminum or Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 2 (2¾ mm. size) and 1 pair No. 3 (3 mm. size).
Clark's O.N.T. Plastic Double-pointed Sock Needles, 1 set No. 3 (3 mm. size)

COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" NYLON AND WOOL, 3 PIy (1 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 3 skeins of No. 261 Maize for Sizes 9½ to 10½, 4 skeins for Sizes 11 to 12½ and 1 skein of No. 835 Periwinkle for all sizes.

Knitting needles, 1 pair No. 1 and No. 2.

13 bobbins.

GAUGE: 8 sts = 1 inch; 11 rows = 1 inch.

Starting at cuff with No. 2 needles, cast on 68 sts. Change to No. 1 needles and work in k 2, p 2 ribbing for 3½ inches, decreasing 1 st on last row (67 sts).

COATS & CLARK'S "RED HEART" SUPER FIN­GERING, 3 Ply (1 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 3 skeins of No. 403 Lt. Oxford and 1 skein each of No. 12 Black and No. 676 Emerald Green. Knitting needles, 1 pair No. 1 and No. 2.

15 bobbins.

GAUGE: 15 sts = 2 inches; 10 rows = 1 inch.

Starting at cuff with No. 2 needles and Oxford, cast on 64 sts. Change to No. 1 needles and work in k 2, p 2 ribbing for 3 inches, decreasing 2 sts evenly spaced on last row (62 sts).

Heel-less socks for easy knitting are quickly made with your choice of Beehive Fingering 3 ply Patonised or Patwin 3 ply Patonised. Be sure to use one or other of these yarns in order to be satisfied with your socks. You will need:—1 oz. Set of 4 No. 12 Queen Bee Knitting Needles (points at both ends).

Tension: 9 sts. and 12 rows = 1 inch with No. 12 needles.
