MATERIALS:
NOMOTTA Mothproof Germantown Zephyr (matched dye lots)
8 1-oz skeins
1 pair needles size 6
GAUGE: 11 sts = 2 inches; 8 rows = 1 inch
PATTERN STITCH: On a multiple of 10 stitches plus 9.
ROW 1: (right side) K 4, *Yarn Over (YO), slip 1 stitch as if to purl, K 1, pass slip-st over knit st (PSSO), K 8, repeat from * across, end with YO, slip 1, K 1, PSSO, K 3.
ROW 2 AND ALL EVEN ROWS: Purl across purling the YO as one stitch.
ROW 3: Same as Row 1.
ROW 5: K 1, *YO, slip 1, K 1, PSSO; repeat from * across.
ROWS 7, 9 AND 11: Same as Row 1.
ROW 12: Purl across purling the YO as one stitch. Repeat these 12 rows for Pattern.
Cast on 147 sts. Work in Seed-st (K 1, P 1 across row, end with K 1; repeat this row) for 1½ inches. Keeping 9 sts at each end in Seed-st (border), work in Pattern-st until Robe measures 30 ins from start, end with Row 5. Repeat Rows 1 through 4 once more (to correspond with other side). Change to Seed-st and work the same number of rows as in beginning of Robe. Bind off in Seed-st.
