Infants to 6 Months
MATERIAL:
1 ball Saxony 3 fold (1 oz. ball)
1 set bone sock needles No. 1 and 2
GAUGE: 7 sts. = 1 inch
With No. 1 needles cast on 40 sts. (12-12-16). Join and work in ribbing K2, P2, for ¾ inch. Next round work for beading: * K2, yarn over, P2 tog. Repeat from * all across round. Work K2, P2, for ¾ inch. Change to No. 2 needles and work plain K for 2½ inch. 1st decrease round: * K2, K2 tog. Repeat from * across round. Work 1 round even. 2nd decrease round: * K1, K2 tog. Repeat from * across round. Work 1 round even. 3rd decrease round: * K2 tog., repeat from * across round. Break off yarn, leaving a 6 inch end. Thread a tapestry needle and run yarn twice through remaining sts., pull sts. tog. and fasten off on wrong side. Steam lightly and make a chain out of double yarn to be pulled through beading row.
