SCALE: 6 sts to 1 in.

Jack Frost Sport Yarn—4 2-oz. Balls

BACK: Work same as given for Sleeveless Pullover Pattern until piece measures 12 in. from lower edge. Bind off 6 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 3 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Bind off 6 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows, then 7 sts at beginning of each of next 6 rows for shoulders. Change to No. 4 Needles increasing to 31 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.

FRONT: Work same as back until piece measures 5 in. from underarm. Work over 30 sts; place on st-holder. Bind off next 21 sts for front of neck. On remaining 30 sts, work 2 rows even; decrease 1 st at neck edge every other row 3 times. Work even until piece measures 6½ in. from underarm. Start­ing at shoulder edge, bind off 6 sts once, then 7 sts every other row 3 times. Work other side to correspond.

FRONT NECKBAND: With No. 4 Needles on right side of garment, pick up 65 sts from shoulder to shoulder. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 7 rows. Bind off.

Sew shoulder and underarm seams.

SLEEVES: With No. 4 Needles cast on 75 sts. Work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 1½ in., then work in ribbing of P 3, K 3, for 2 rows. On the 3rd row (right side), work a cable twist over the 9 center sts and repeat cable twists every 3 in. to top of sleeve. When piece measures 3 in. from lower edge, change to No. 8 Needles and continue pattern until piece measures 5 in. from lower edge. Bind off 6 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows for underarm; decrease 1 st at each end every other row 3 times, then every 4th row 3 times. Bind off 2 sts at beginning of every row until 19 sts remain. Bind off remaining sts.

Sew sleeve seams. Sew sleeves in place.
