MATERIALS REQUIRED: Columbia-Minerva
NANTUK DIMENSION (1 oz pull skein)

Knitting Needles: One pair each "Boye" Sizes 4 and 5

Gauge: Stockinette Stitch on Size 5 - 5 sts to 1 inch; 7 rows to 1 inch

Stripe Pattern: Starting with a K row, work in St St for 3 rows each of Colors B through J.

PULLOVER

Back: With Size 4 needles and Color A - cast on 86(90-96-100-106-110). K 1 and P 1 in ribbing for 4 rows. Break off A. Change to Size 5. Work 24 rows of stripe pat, joining and breaking off colors as needed. With A - continue in St St to 13½ inches from start, end on wrong side. Width across back is 17½(18-19-20-21-22) inches.

Armholes: Bind off 4 at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 each side every row 3(3-5-5-7-7) times. Dec 1 each side every other row 2(3-3-4-4-5) times. Work on the 68(70-72-74-76-78) sts to 4½(4¾-5-5¼-5½-5¾) inches above underarm, end on right side. Width across shoulders is 13½(14-14½-14¾-15¼-15¼) inches.

Neck: P 24(24-25-25-26-27) and sl them to a holder, P center 20(22-22-24-24-24) and sl them to 2nd holder, P to end. Bind off 3 at neck 3 times. Work on the 15(15-16-16-17-18) sts to 6¾(7-7¼-7½-7¾-8) inches above underarm, end on wrong side.

Shoulder: Bind off 5(5-6-6-6-6) sts at armhole 3(3-1-1-2-3) times then on Sizes 14(16-18) Only bind off 5 sts at same edge 2(2-1) times. Starting at neck, work other side to correspond.

Front: Work same as back until 72(76-78-82-84-88) sts rem, end on right side.

Neck: P 36(38-39-41-42-44) and sl them to a holder, P to end. Dec 1 at neck on next row then every other row 18(19-19-20-20-20) times And At The Same Time dec 1 at armhole 2(3-3-4-4-5) times. Work on the 15(15-16-16-17-18) sts to 6¾(7-7¼-7½-7¾-8) inches straight above underarm, end on wrong side.

Shoulder: Bind off 5(5-6-6-6-6) sts at armhole 3(3-1-1-2-3) times then on Sizes 14(16-18) Only bind off 5 sts at same edge 2(2-1) times. Starting at neck, work other side.

Sleeves: With Size 4 needles and Color A - cast on 38(40-42-44-46-48). K 1 and P 1 in ribbing for 4 rows. Break off A. Change to Size 5 needles. Work 24 rows of stripe pat. With A - continue in St St, inc'ing 1 each side on next row then every 6th row 10 times more. Work on the 60(62-64-66-68-70) sts to 14½ inches or desired length to underarm, end on wrong side. Width across sleeve is 12(12¼-12¾-13-13½-14) inches.

Sleeve Cap: Bind off 4 at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 each side every other row until 28 sts rem. Bind off 2 at beg of next 6 rows. Bind off.

Neckband: Sew right shoulder seam. On right side with Size 5 needles and A - starting at open shoulder pick up and K 37(38-39-40-41-42) sts along left front, pick up and K 1 and mark for center, pick up and K 37(38-39-40-41-42) on other side, 42(44-44-46-46-46) on back including holder. Break off A. Work on the 117(121-123-127-129-131) sts:

Row 1 - Wrong side: With B - P.

Row 2: K to 2 sts before center st, sl 1, K 1, psso, K center st, K 2 tog, K to end. Break  off B. With Colors C through J, repeat last 2 rows. Change to Size 4 needles. With A - P 1 row. Next row K 1, * P 1, K 1, repeat from * across. Dec'ing 1 each side of center, work 1 more row in ribbing. Bind off in ribbing. Sew left shoulder seam, joining neckband. Sew in sleeves, then seam underarms and sleeves.

Skirt: With Size 4 needles and Color A - cast on 116(119-122-125-128-131). K 1 row and P 1 row for 7 rows. K next P row for turn. Change to Size 5 needles. K 1 row and P 1 row for 6 rows. Break off A. Work the 24 rows of stripe pat. Directions are for a 23-inch skirt. To lengthen, work added inches with A at this point. With A - continue in St St, dec'ing 1 each side on next row then every 2 inches 1(1-2-3-4-5) times, then every inch 10(10-8-6-4-2) times more. There are 92(95-100-105-110-115) sts and width across hipline is 18¼(19-20-21-22-23) inches. Dec 1 each side every 4th row 8 times then every other row 4 times. Work on the 68(71-76-81-86-91) sts to 23 inches or desired length above turn, end on right side. K next P row for turn. K 1 row and P 1 row for 1 inch. Bind off.

Front: Work same as back. Sew side seams. Turn in hems, leaving opening for elastic cut to fit at waistline.
