Materials:
Columbia Scotch Yarn, 4 ounce skeins. 1 skein Dark Oxford, 8852.
Needles:
Columbia Steel Sock Needles, size 10.
Gauge: (ribbing stretched)
5 sts = 1 inch. 10 rows = 1 inch.
Cast on 108 sts (27 sts on each of 4 needles) and work even in k 2, p 2 ribbing for 6 inches. K 2 rounds plain: * K to the last 4 sts on first needle, k 2 tog, k 2; on second needle, k 2, slip 1, k 1, pass the slip st over the k st, k to end; on third needle, k to the last 4 sts, k 2 tog, k 2; on last needle k 2, slip 1, k 1, pass the slip st over the k st, k to end. Repeat from * every round until 3 sts remain on each needle. Slip the 6 sts from the 2 first needles onto one needle, slip the remaining sts onto one needle and weave the sts together.
