Materials: 1 Skein KENTUCKY ALL PURPOSE YARN—1 Pair Number 5—10" Knitting Needles.

Gauge: 5 sts = 1 inch; 5 rows = 1 inch.

Cast on 88 sts. K 2, P 2, for 5 rows. Purl back. On knit row (right side), add 1 st in every 10th st, which will add 9 sts on the row. (97 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Add 1 st in every 12th st along the row. (105 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Add 1 st in every 13th st along row. (113 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Add 1 st in every 14th st along row. (121 sts) Purl back. There are now 121 sts on the needle. Purl 1 row, knit 1 row, purl 1 row, knit 1 row, purl 1 row. Knit row—Decrease on this knit row by knitting every 9th and 10th st tog across the row. (108 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 8th and 9th st tog across the row. (96 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 7th and 8th st tog across the row. (84 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 6th and 7th st tog across the row. (72 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 5th and 6th st tog across the row. (60 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 4th and 5th st tog across the row. (48 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 3rd and 4th st tog across the row. (36 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 2nd and 3rd st tog across the row. (24 sts) Purl back. Knit row—Knit every 1st and 2nd st tog across the row. (12 sts) You now have 12 sts on the needle. Break off yarn, pick up sts on a tapestry needle and draw sts tightly together and sew up seam.
