MATERIAL:

4 skeins Fingering Yarn 3 ply dusty rose (1 oz. skein)

2 skeins Fingering Yarn 3 ply navy (1 oz. skein)

1 skein Fingering Yarn 3 ply blue (1 oz. skein)

1 ball Sport angora pink (½ oz. ball)

1 pair knitting needles 14 inch. No. 6

GAUGE: 5 sts. = 1 inch

NOTE:

Entire Shawl is worked in garter st.

STRIPE PATTERN:

16 rows dusty rose, 4 rows navy, 2 rows pink, 4 rows blue, 2 rows pink. Repeat these 28 rows for pattern.

With No. 6 needles and dusty rose cast on 441 sts. Work in garter st. and stripe pattern. Decr. 1 st. at the beg. of each row and K 3 tog. in center of every other row until 3 sts. are left over. Bind off.

FRINGE:

Wind navy yarn over a 2 inch cardboard, cut yarn at one end. Knot 6 strands in every 4th st. on both slanted sides of shawl. Trim fringe evenly. Steam lightly.
