CHADWICK'S RED HEART SPORTS YARN, 1 oz. balls
Two-Color Striped Socks require 2 balls of main color and 1 ball of contrasting color for each size.
Three-Color Striped Socks require 2 balls of main color and 1 ball each of a light and a dark contrasting color for each size.
Solid-Color Socks require 2 balls of any color for sizes 7½ and 8; 3 balls for sizes 8½ to 10.
4 double-pointed steel needles No. 12.
GAUGE: 8 sts make 1"; 11 rnds make 1".

THREE-COLOR STRIPED SOCKS No. 5124
Cast on with main color and work ribbing as for two-color socks, then work 8 rnds of stockinette stitch (k each rnd) in main color. Attach light contrasting color and work 3 rnds light; then attach dark contrasting color and work 5 rnds dark. Continue to work 8 rnds of main color, 3 rnds of light and 5 rnds of dark, meanwhile shaping as for two-color sock. Toe and heel are worked in main color.
SOLID-COLOR SOCKS No. 5124
