KNITTING NEEDLES: 1 pair "Boye" Non-Inflammable Needles, Size 15 –OR SIZE YOU REQUIRE TO KNIT TO GAUGE GIVEN BELOW.
1 pair "Boye" Non-Inflammable Needles, Size 13 for ribbing.
"Boye" Non-Inflammable Hook, Size J.
GAUGE: Size 15 Needles – 5 sts = 2 inches; 7 rows = 2 inches

BACK - With size 13 needles, cast on 35 (39-41) sts.

Row 1 - wrong side-K 1, * p 1, k 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 2 - P 1, * k 1, p 1; repeat from * to end.

Repeat these 2 rows until 9 rows from beg., end with row 1.

Inc. row - K increasing 8 sts evenly spaced across row; 43 (47-49) sts. With size 15 needles, work stockinette st - p 1 row, k 1 row - until 31 (29-27) rows including inc. row - about 8½ (8-7½) ins.-above ribbing, end with k row.

Raglan Shaping - Bind off 2 (3-3) sts at beg. of each of next 2 rows. P 1 row.

Dec. row - K 1, slip, k and pass, k to within 3 sts of end, k 2 tog., k 1; 37 (39-41) sts.

Repeat last 2 rows 13 (14-15) times; 11 sts. P 1 row. Place 11 sts on holder for neck ribbing. Break yarn.

RIGHT FRONT - With size 13 needles, cast on 23 (25-27) sts.

Row 1 - wrong side - P 1, * k 1, p 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 2 - K 1, * p 1, k 1; repeat from * to end.

Repeat row 1 once, end at front edge.

Buttonhole rows - K 1, p 1, bind off 1 st, loosen loop on needle and draw ball of yarn through dropping off loop, binding off a 2nd st, work ribbing to end. Cast on 2 sts over buttonhole in next row. Continue ribbing for 4 rows more, end at front edge.

Inc. row - Work 6 sts in ribbing for border, k to end increasing 4 sts evenly spaced across row; 27 (29-31) sts.

Next row - With size 15 needles, p to within 6 sts of end, work ribbing on 6 border sts. Continue border on 6 sts, working stockinette st on 21 (23-25) sts, repeating buttonholes every 9th and 10th row having 8 rows between buttonholes-about 3 ins. Work until same length as back to raglan shaping, end on right side-underarm edge.

Raglan Shaping - Continuing buttonholes, bind off 2 (3-3) sts at beg. of next row. K 1 row, p 1 row.

Dec. row - Work to within 3 sts of end, k 2 tog., k 1. Work 1 row even. Repeat last 2 rows 8 (9-10) times, end on wrong side 6 rows above 6th buttonhole; 16 (16-17) sts.

Neck Shaping - Work 7 (7-8) sts and place on holder for neck, work to end repeating raglan dec.; 8 sts. P 1 row.

Next row - Slip, k and pass, work to end repeating raglan dec.; 6 sts. P 1 row.

Repeat last 2 rows once; 4 sts. Work 2 more rows working raglan dec. only; 3 sts.

Next row - K 2 tog., k 1; 2 sts. P 1 row. Place on holder for neck.

LEFT FRONT - With size 13 needles, cast on 23 (25-27) sts, work ribbing as on right front, omitting buttonhole, end with row worked on wrong side - underarm edge.

Inc. row - K, increasing 4 sts evenly spaced across first 17 (19-21) sts, work ribbing on last 6 sts for front border. With size 15 needles, work to correspond to right front up to neck shaping, working raglan shaping as on right side of back, omitting buttonholes, end on wrong side, underarm edge; 16 (16-17) sts.

Neck Shaping - K 1, slip, k and pass, k to within 7 (7-8) sts of end, place last 7 (7-8) sts on holder for neck. Continuing raglan shaping, k 2 tog. at end of k rows for neck shaping every 2nd row twice, end with p row; 3 sts.

Next row - K 1, slip, k and pass; 2 sts. P 1 row. Place on holder for neck. Break yarn.

SLEEVES - With size 13 needles, cast on 20 (20-22) sts. Work k 1, p 1 ribbing for 5 rows, about 1 ½ ins.

Inc. row - K, increasing 5 (7-7) sts evenly spaced across row; 25 (27-29) sts. With size 15 needles, work stockinette st - p 1 row, k 1 row - for 5 rows.

2nd Inc. row - Inc. 1 st in first st, k to within 2 sts of end, inc. 1 st in next st, k 1; 27 (29-31) sts. Continue stockinette st repeating 2nd inc. row every 6th row twice; 31 (33-35) sts. Work even until 8 (7 ½-7 ½) ins. above cuff, end with p row. Repeat inc. row; 33 (35-37) sts. Repeat inc. row every 2nd row 2 (3-3) times; 37 (41-43) sts. P 1 row, k 1 row. Work raglan shaping as on back, end with p row; 5 sts. Place on holder. Break yarn. Sew raglan seams, joining sleeves to back and front. Sew underarm and sleeve seams.

NECK RIBBING - Beg. at left front edge, with size 13 needle, take up 7 (7-8) front neck sts, 2 sts of left front, 5 sts of sleeve, 11 sts of back,S sts of sleeve, 2 sts of right front; with free size 13 needle, beg. at right front, take up 7 (7-8) front neck sts, join yarn and pick up and k 5 sts on right neck edge, continue across as follows: k 1, k 2 tog., k 3, k 2 tog., k 9, k 2 tog., k 3, k 2 tog., k 1, pick up and k 5 sts on left side of neck, k 1 (1-2), work ribbing to end; 45 (45-47) sts.

Next row - Work ribbing on all sts. Work 7th buttonhole in next 2 rows. Work 2 rows more. Bind off. Do not break yarn.

From right side, work 1 row sc on left front edge, working 1 sc in every 2nd row. Fasten off. Beg. at lower right front edge, from right side, work 1 row sc on right front edge to correspond to left front.

FINISHING - Finish buttonholes in blanket st. Steam.
