Columbia-Minerva Featherweight Knitting Worsted (2 oz skein) - 5(6-6-7-7) skeins
Knitting Needles: 1 pair "Boye" Size 5
Gauge: 6 sts to 1 inch; 8 rows to 1 inch
BACK: Cast on 185(192-197-204-209) sts. Work in St St for 9 rows, K next P row for turn of hem, inc'ing 1 st each side - 187(194-199-206-211) sts on needle. Continue in St St for 3 inches for a 26-inch skirt, for longer or shorter skirt make adjustments here, ending on right side of work. Next row place markers on needle as follows: P 21(21-20-20-19), * place a marker, P 21(22-23-24-25) *, repeat from * to * twice, P 19(20-21-22-23), repeat from * to * 3 times, place a marker, P 21(21-20-20-19). Dec Row: K 2 tog before first 4 markers and after last 4 markers - 8 decs made. Repeat dec row every 2 inches 5 times, then every 1½ inches 8 times more - 75(82-87-94-99) sts on needle. When skirt measures 26 inches or desired length from turn of hem, bind off.
FRONT: Work same as Back.
Sew side seams. Sew 1¼ inch wide elastic inside top edge. Turn up hem and sew.
