Afghan measures 47 x 66 inches … Motifs (triangles) measure 6½ x 6½ x 9⅛ inches.

COATS & CLARK'S RED HEART KNITTING WORSTED, 4 Ply, Art. E. 234 (4 oz. "Tangle-Proof" Pull-Out Skeins): 9 skeins of No. 995 Arabian Ombre and 5 skeins of No. 418 Lt. Natural.
Knitting needles, 1 pair No. 7.
Aluminum or Plastic Crochet Hook, Size G.

GAUGE: 9 sts = 2 inches.

MOTIF (Make 140) … With knitting needles and Arabian Ombre, cast on 1 st. 1st row: In st make k 1 in front loop, k 1 in back loop, k 1 in front loop (3 sts). 2nd row: With Arabian Ombre, p across. 3rd row: With Arabian Ombre, k 1, (O, k 1) twice—5 sts, counting each O as 1 st. 4th row: Repeat 2nd row. Drop Arabian Ombre and attach Lt. Natural. NOTE: Hereafter carry yarn not in use loosely along side of work. 5th row: With Lt. Natural, k 1, (O, k 1) 4 times—9 sts. 6th row: With Lt. Natural, k across. 7th row: With Lt. Natural, p 1, (O, p 3, O, p 1) twice—13 sts. 8th row: With Lt. Natural, p across. Drop Lt. Natural, pick up Arabian Ombre. 9th row: With Arabian Ombre k 1, (O, k 5, O, k 1) twice—17 sts. 10th row: Repeat 2nd row. 11th row: With Arabian Ombre k 1, (O, k 7, O, k 1) twice—21 sts. 12th row: With Arabian Ombre p across. Drop Arabian Ombre, pick up Lt. Natural. 13th row: With Lt. Natural, k 1, (O, k 9, O, k 1) twice—25 sts. 14th row: Repeat 6th row. 15th row: With Lt. BORDER … 1st rnd (right side): Attach Arabian Ombre and sc closely around entire afghan, making 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st to first sc. 2nd and 3rd rnds: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, making 3 sc in each corner. Join as before. Break off at end of 3rd rnd. Block to measurements.
