The All-Over Cross Stitch. Cast on a number of stitches divisible by four, plus two stitches.

Row 1. Purl.

Row 2. * K 2, K into second st. on left-hand needle, and do not slip off needle. Then K into first st., and drop both sts. off needle. Repeat from * across row and end K 2.

Row 3. Purl.

Row 4. * K into second st. on left-hand needle. Then K into first st., and drop both sts. off needle. K 2. Repeat from * across row. Repeat these four rows.
