Lattice Cable Stitch

Lattice Cable. Cast on a number of stitches divisible by eight plus two stitches.

Rows 1, 3, and 5. * K 2 and P 2. Repeat from * across row, and end K 2.

Rows 2 and 4. * P 2 and K 2. Repeat from * across row, and end P 2.

Row 6. * P 2. Slip next 3 sts. on to a spare needle, and drop to front of work, K 2 and P 1, then P 1 and K 2 from spare. Repeat from * across row, and end P 2.

Rows 7, 9, and 11. Same as Rows 1, 3, and 5.

Rows 8 and 10. Same as Rows 2 and 4.

Row 12. P 2, K 2, * P 2, and slip next 3 sts. on to a spare needle, and drop to back of work, K 2 and P 1, then P 1 and K 2 from spare. Repeat from * across row, and end P 2, K 2, P 2.

Repeat these twelve rows for pattern.
