SIZE 14 to 16

MATERIALS:
1 Pr. Champion Standard Knitting Needles #8
5-4 oz. pull skeins, Jack Frost Wintuk Knitting Worsted Type

Scale — 4 ½ sts. to 1 inch.

BACK:

Cast on 72 sts. work in ribbing of K1, P1 for 4 inches. Increase 1 st. work in pattern as follows:

K2, P2 across the row, ending K1, this one row forms pattern, work 13 ½ inches to underarm. Bind off 6 sts. each side, work until armhole measures 7 ½ inches. Bind off 10 sts. at the beginning of each row twice each side. Then work in ribbing of K1, P1 for 6 inches. Bind off.

FRONT:

Work the same as back to underarm. Bind off 6 sts. each side, work until armhole measures 5 ½ inches. Bind off the center 15 sts. loosely, work one side at a time and decrease 1 st. at neck edge every other row 3 times. Work until armhole measures the same as back. Bind off 10 sts. from shoulder edge every other row twice. Work other side the same.

SLEEVES:

Cast on 38 sts. work in ribbing of K1, P1 for 3 inches. Increase 1 st. work in pattern increasing 1 st. each side every 8th row 8 times. Work until sleeve measures 17 inches. Bind off 4 sts. each side, then K2 tog. each side every other row until 21 sts. are left. Bind off.

FINISHING:

Front collar, pick up 50 sts. from shoulder to shoulder, work in ribbing of K1, P1, for 6 inches. Bind off loosely.

Sew shoulders, sleeves and side seams.

Sew sleeves in place.

Block with a damp cloth.
