MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Columbia-Minerva Knitting Worsted (4 oz skein) - Main Color (MC) - 4(5) skeins and 1 skein each of Colors 1 and 2
OR
Columbia-Minerva Calypso Germantown Knitting Worsted (2 or 4 oz skein) - Main Color (MC) - 18(22) ozs and 4 ozs each of Colors 1 and 2
Knitting Needles: 1 pair each "Boye" Sizes 4 and 8

Gauge: Stockinette Stitch on Size 8 needles - 5 sts to 1 inch; 7 rows to 1 inch
NOTE: When changing colors, twist yarns to prevent a hole.
BACK: With MC and Size 4 needles cast on 80(90) sts. Work in K 1, P 1 ribbing for 3(3½) inches, inc'- ing 5 sts evenly spaced on last row - 85(95) sts on needle. Wind 6 bobbins of MC and 3 each of Colors 1 and 2. Change to Size 8 needles and work in St St following chart. Starting at A, work to C, then repeat from B to C once. Work to top of chart, then repeat Rows 1 through 16(18). Back measures about 11½(13) inches above ribbing. Armholes: Bind off 5(6) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each side every other row 3(4) times - 69(75) sts on needle. Work until there are 52(56) rows above bound-off sts, about 7½(8) inches. Shoulders: Bind off 8(9) sts at. beg of next 4 rows - 37(39) sts on needle. Continue in pat for neck facing, inc'ing 1 st each side every row 8 times - 53(55) sts on needle. Bind off.
FRONT: Same as Back.
SLEEVES: With MC and Size 4 needles cast on 48(50) sts. Work in K 1, P 1 ribbing for 2½ inches, inc'ing 2(4) sts on last row - 50(54) sts on needle. Change to Size 8 needles and work in St St, inc'ing 1 st each side every 8th row 8 times - 66(70) sts on needle. Work until sleeve measures 14(14½) inches or desired length. Cap of Sleeve: Bind off 5(6) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each side every row 4 times, then every other row 11(12) times. Bind off 2 sts at beg of next 6 rows. Bind off rem'ing 14 sts.
Sew shoulder seams. Sew sleeves in place, then sew underarm and sleeve seams. Turn under neck facing and sew on wrong side.
