MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Columbia-Minerva Knitting Worsted (4 oz skein) - Main Color (MC) - 5 skeins and 1 skein each of Colors 1 and 2
OR
Columbia-Minerva Calypso Germantown Knitting Worsted (2 or 4 oz skein) - Main Color (MC) - 22 ozs and 4 ozs each of Colors 1 and 2
Knitting Needles: 1 pair each "Boye" Sizes 4 and 8

Gauge: Stockinette Stitch on Size 8 needles - 5 sts to 1 inch; 7 rows to 1 inch
NOTE: When changing colors, twist yarns to prevent a hole.
BACK: With MC and Size 4 needles cast on 92(102) sts. Work in K 1, P 1 ribbing for 3 inches, inc'ing 11(13) sts evenly spaced on last row - 103(115) sts on needle. Wind 6 bobbins of MC and 3 each of Colors 1 and 2. Change to Size 8 needles and work in St St, following chart (see pages 65 and 66). Starting at D, work to C, then repeat from B to E once. Work to top of chart, then repeat Rows 1 through 20(22). Back measures about 12(13½) inches above ribbing. Armholes: Bind off 5(6) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each side every other row 4(5) times - 85(93) sts. Work until 62(66) rows above bound-off sts, about 9(9½) inches. Shoulders: Bind off 11(12) sts at beg of next 4 rows - 41(45) sts on needle. Continue in pat for neck facing, inc'ing 1 st each side every row 8 times - 57(61) sts on needle. Bind off.
FRONT: Same as Back.
SLEEVES: With MC and Size 4 needles cast on 58(60) sts. Work in K 1, P 1 ribbing for 3 inches, inc'ing 2(4) sts on last row - 60(64) sts on needle. Change to Size 8 needles and work in St St, inc'ing 1 st each side every 8th row 10 times - 80(84) sts on needle. Work until sleeve measures 19(19½) inches or desired length. Cap of Sleeve: Bind off 5(6) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each side every row 6 times, every other row 12(13) times. Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 6 rows. Bind off rem'ing 16 sts.
Sew shoulder seams. Sew sleeves in place, then sew underarm and sleeve seams. Turn under neck facing and sew on wrong side.
