QUARTER SECTION of BLOCK … Starting at tip, cast on 3 sts, k across. 1st row: (K 1, O) twice; k 1. 2nd row: K 2, p 1, k 2. 3rd row: K 2, O, k 1, O, k 2. 4th and all even rows: K 2, p across to last 2 sts, k 2. 5th row: K 2, O, k 3, O, k 2. 7th row: K 2, O, k 5, O, k 2.    Single Size—Make 104 blocks and join 8 x 13 blocks. Double Size—Make 130 blocks and join 10 x 13 blocks.

FRINGE … Cut 4 strands each 6 inches long. Double the ends to form a loop. With a crochet hook, draw loop through any st on lower edge of spread, draw ends through loop and pull up tightly. Make a similar fringe in each st across lower edge and both long sides.
