Bucilla Featherlite Aluminum Knitting Needles, 1 pair Size 1.
Bucilla Steel Crochet Hook, Size 3.
About 350 (400) rhinestones for trimming.

Width of back at underarm 16 (17½) ins.
Sleeves—width at underarm 12 (12½) ins.

GAUGE: blocked—17 sts = 2 inches; 12 rows = 1 inch

Mark next row for first inc. row. Inc. 1 st each side of next row. Repeat incs. every 4th row 18 times more; 136 (148) sts. Work even until about 7 ins. above first inc. row, end on wrong side, 1 row above a twist row.

Armholes—Bind off 8 (9) sts at beg. of next 2 rows for under­arm. Dec. 1 st each side every 2nd row 8 (9) times; 104 (112) sts. Work even until armholes measure 7 (7¼) ins., straight up from underarm.

Shoulders—Bind off 8 (9) sts at beg. of next 4 rows; 7 (9) sts at beg. of next 2 rows. Bind off remaining 58 sts for back of neck.

FRONT—Cast on 120 (132) sts. Work pat. as for back, shap­ing underarm edge same as for back. There will be 110 (122) sts at waistline; 148 (160) sts at bustline. Work even until same length as back to underarm, end with same pat. row.

Armhole and Neck Shaping—Bind off 8 (9) sts at beg. of next row for underarm, work until 65 (70) sts from bind-off, place these sts on holder for left half of front, bind off 2 center sts, work to end. Bind off 8 (9) sts at beg. of next row, work to neck edge; 65 (70) sts. Bind off 2 sts at neck edge at beg. of next row. Continue to shape armhole as on back, binding off 2 sts at neck edge every 2nd row 16 times more; 23 (27) sts. Work even until armhole is same length as on back. Shape shoulder as on back.

Beg. at neck edge, finish left half to correspond.

SLEEVES—Cast on 96 sts. Work pat., for size 14—inc. 1 st each side every 8th row 3 times; 102 sts (for size 16—inc. 1 st each side every 4th row 5 times; 106 sts). Work even until 1 row above 3rd twist row. Bind off 8 (9) sts at beg. of next 2 rows. Dec. 1 st each side every 2nd row 6 times; every 4th row 10 (11) times; every 2nd row 3 times. Bind off 3 sts at beg. of next 6 rows. Bind off remaining 30 sts.

FINISHING—Steam and finish. Sew on rhinestones over twisted sts as illustrated.
