MATERIALS:
1 Pr. Size 9 Standard Knitting Needles
2 oz. 4-ply Knitting Worsted

GAUGE: 5 sts to 1 in.

Cast on 60 sts (2 yr. 66 sts—3 yr. 72 sts). Work in rib pattern as follows:
Row 1—* Slip 1, K 1, Y O; repeat from * ending slip 1, K 1.
Row 2—* Slip 1, K 2 tog., Y O; repeat from * ending slip 1, K 1.
Repeat row 2 for 25 rows (2 and 3 yr. 29 rows). Discontinue pattern and work in ribbing of K 1, P 1, for 12 rows. P 1 row, K 1 row for 5 rows. K 2 tog. across row. P 2 tog. across row. Draw remaining sts tog. and fasten off. Sew seam.
