Front: Same as back.
Sleeve: With large needles, cast on 98 sts. Change to small needles and work 7 ridges in garter st. With large needles, work in pattern for 10 rows, ready to work 3rd row of pattern. Bind off for armholes 5 sts at beginning of each of next 2 rows, and work the decrease rows same as in back until there are 30 sts on needle. Change to small needles and in the first row, k together every 3rd and 4th sts. Work in garter st for 7 ridges, making a decrease at beginning and end of every 3rd row, bind off. Make other sleeve to correspond. When joining sleeves to body of tunic, put the narrow side of sleeve on the wider side of armhole to counteract the tendency of the lace stitch to make work wider on one side than the other. Finish around neck with 1 row of s c in every st, worked tightly.
