Work 1 row of s c around all 4 sides.

FRINGE … Cut 4 strands, each 5 inches long. Double these strands forming a loop. With crochet hook, pull loop through s c at bottom of chair back. Draw the 8 ends through loop and pull tightly to fasten. Make a fringe in every other s c across bottom. Trim evenly.

ARM PIECES … Cast on 54 sts and work as for chair back until piece measures 9 inches. Bind off. Make fringe as on chair back.
