CHADWICK'S RED HEART SHETLAND FLOSS, 6 balls (1 oz. balls) for the set, all sizes. If made separately, pullover requires 4 balls, pants require 3 balls.
Milward's Phantom Knitting Pins, 1 pair No. 0 (2 mm. size) and 1 pair No. 3 (3 mm. size).
2 buttons for pants.
1 yd. grosgrain ribbon to line suspenders, if desired.

GAUGE: (Stockinette stitch) 7 sts make 1 inch; 9 rows make 1 inch.

Make a buttonhole 2 sts in from edge—to make a buttonhole, on one row bind off 3 sts; on next row cast on 3 sts to replace those bound off. Work ½ inch in moss stitch. Bind off.

Sew in crotch (when crotch is folded diagonally, fold is lower edge), and seam inner edges of legs. Seam side edges. If desired, line suspenders with grosgrain ribbon to prevent stretching. Sew buttons on Front for suspenders; button on the suspenders, and sew other ends in place at back. Suspenders may be worn crossed at back. Press through damp cloth.
