MATERIAL:

¼ oz. Fingering Yarn in navy, red and white

1 pair knitting needles No. 2

GAUGE: 15 sts. = 2 inch.

PATTERN:

Work 4 rows stock. st. each in navy, red and white.

BACK:

With navy and No. 2 needles cast on 26 sts, and work in stock. st. for 4 rows. P 1 row on right side for hemline. Cont. in stock. st. and stripe pattern until 3 inch. above hemline. Slip a marker to each end of needle to mark armhole. Cont. in pattern for 1 inch. Bind off for shoulders at the beg. of the next 2 rows 4 sts., on rem. 18 sts. P 1 row on right side for hemline, cont. in stock. st. for 4 more rows for facing. Bind off.

FRONT:

Work Front as Back.

SLEEVE:

Sew up shoulder seams. With red and No. 2 needles pick up 18 sts. between markers and work in stock. st. and stripe pattern for 8 rows. Bind off loosely. Work the other sleeve to correspond.

FINISHING:

Sew up side seams incl. sleeves. Turn up hem and sew to wrong side. Turn neck facing to inside and hem to wrong side of neck. Block to size.
