MATERIAL:
3 Balls Saxony 3 fold (1 oz. ball)
1 pair knitting needles No. 3
1 bone crochet hook No. 3
Ribbon for trimming

GAUGE: 7 sts. = 1 inch

PATTERN FOR YOKE:
Same as for Bedjacket No. 193.

BACK: Cast on 75 sts. with No. 3 needles and work in garter st. for 6 rows. Change to stock. st. With 75 sts. work even until the entire piece measures 6½ inch. Bind off for armhole at the beg. of the next 2 rows 4 sts. and at the beg. of the next 2 rows 2 sts. (63 sts. left). Start lace pattern for yoke now. Work even for 4½ inch, from the first binding off. Bind off for shoulders at the beg. of the next 4 rows 10 sts., rem. 23 sts. bind off for neck.

FRONT: Cast on 42 sts. with No. 3 needles and work in garter st. for 6 rows. Change to stock. st. and keep the 3 center sts. in garter st. for border. With 42 sts. work even until the entire piece measures like back. Bind off for armhole at seam edge 5 sts. and at the beg. of the next 2 rows at seam edge 2 sts. (33 sts. left). Work in lace pattern for yoke now. Work even until 3 inch, from the first binding- off. Bind off for neck 7 sts. at center edge and then always 2 sts. at same edge until 20 sts. are left over. Work as high as back and bind off 10 sts. at armhole edge twice. Work the other front to correspond.

SLEEVE: Cast on 57 sts. with No. 3 needles and work in garter st. for 6 rows. Change to pattern (work 18 sts. in stock. st., 21 sts. in lace pattern and the rem. 18 sts. in stock. st.). Work even until the entire sleeve measures 6 inch. Bind off at the beg. of the next 2 rows 3 sts. Decr. 1 st. at the beg. of each row until 47 sts. are on needle. Decr. 1 st. at the beg. and end of every 4th row until 39 sts. are left. Bind off 2 sts. at the beg. of each row until 25 sts. are left over. Bind off.

FINISHING: Sew up side, shoulder and sleeve seams and sew in sleeves. Crochet 1 row s.c. down each front. Right side facing you, pick up 60 sts. with No. 3 needles around the neck and work in garter st. for 6 rows. Bind off. Steam lightly and sew ribbon at neck edge.
