MATERIAL:
5 (6) skeins Knitting Worsted (4 oz. skein)
1 pair knitting needles No. 4 and No. 6
1 bone crochet hook No. 6

GAUGE: 5 sts. = 1 inch

BACK: Cast on 96 (100) sts. with No. 4 needles and work in ribbing K1, P1 for 5 inch., increasing 6 (8) sts. at even intervals across last row of ribbing. Change to No. 3 needles and stock. st. With 102 (108) sts. work even until the entire piece measures 15 (16) inch, or any desired length to underarm. Bind off for armhole at the beg. of the next 2 rows 7 (8) sts. and at the beg. of the next 4 rows 2 sts. (80 (84) sts. left). Work even for 8½ (8¾) inch, from the first binding off. Bind off for shoulder at the beg. of the next 4 (6) rows 11 (8) sts., rem. 36 sts. bind off for neck.

FRONT: Work the same way as back.

SLEEVE: Cast on 48 sts. with No. 4 needles and work in rib­bing K1, P1 for 3 inch., increasing 6 (8) sts, at even intervals across last row of ribbing. Change to No. 6 needles and stock. st. Incr. 1 st. at the beg. and at the end of every 6th row until 70 (74) sts. on needle. Work even until the entire sleeve measures 19½ (20) inch, or any desired length to underarm. Bind off at the beg. of the next 2 rows 4 (5) sts. Decr. 1 st. at the beg. of each row until 56 (58) sts. are left. Decr. 1 st. at the beg. and end of every 4th row until 44 sts are on needle. Bind off 2 sts. at the beg. of each row until 24 sts. are left over. Bind off. Work the 2nd sleeve the same way.

FINISHING: Sew up side, shoulder and sleeve seams. Sew in sleeves. Crochet 2 rows s. c. around neck edge, turn neck edge down and hem it. Steam lightly.
